SPECIAL EXHIBITION:
Tan Peng

Tan Peng resides in Singapore and creates print and web graphics,
as well as designing digital illustrations for commercial projects.
The artworks below are from his 3rd exhibition,
Flowing Forest, Burning Hearts,
a two-man show with John Goss,
which was the first openly gay-themed art exhibition in Singapore,
held at The Substation from Feb 20-28 in 1993.
Aside from boldly celebrating the beauty of the male nude,
Tan Peng's art tackled issues of importance to local gays:
oppression, pressure to marry, invisibility, repressive religions,
safer sex and HIV caregiving, and police entrapment.
