At the end of the alley, turn left to discover the KTC Tea Dealer (228-4682) whose shop has been in business since 1868, or turn right, cross the next main road and look on the right side of the lane for the Si Mi Na Teng Hua barber shop (222-5737) packed with incredible anthropomorphic folk art made by the barber (not to mention his mini-zoo and rock collection!).

Comments from Utopians:
"Great location! My room in the main building was large and comfortable, although not particulary modern or luxurious. It faced the main street and had a decent balcony - street noise anticipated, but was never a problem. I had no particular complaints though extras are very expensive, i.e. business center, restaurants, laundry. Staff are not entirely helpful and many cannot converse usefully in English. Most were friendly, but not all." -- zyzb, May 19, 2008

Comments from Utopians:
"A friend of mine just stayed in MeiHoa (Mayflower) hotel near Taipei Train Station. It was T$1,100 per day (cash/no credit card), but they were friendly and asked no questions. It's also near Cupid (bar) and 2-28 park (if that's your sort of thing)." -- Brett, July 25, 2004
"Hotel Sunrise is a love motel, cheap but clean and they didn't seem to mind me having guests. No. 16, Alley 6, Lane 128, Chung Sung Rd, Sec. 2, Taipei, 2551-4711, FAX 2551-7787." -- Joseph W., Sept, 1997
