      Hotel Be Angkor
On The Passage, parallel to Pub St, Utopia Map, 012-246-912, 012-755-311, FAX 965-321, email. From the gay pioneers of Linga Bar comes this gorgeous, boutique accommodation exactly in the heart of Siem Reap's shops and nightlife, opposite Linga Bar and next to The One Hotel Angkor ("be" means "two" in Khmer). Just three private rooms, each designed in completely unique Cambodia Cool style showcasing the work of a different local artist. The room names hint at the eye candy to be found within: Bamboo, Saffron, and Sepia. Living area with large day bed, desk/dining area (your breakfast is brought to you at the time of your choosing), rain shower, and individual sun decks with views out over the tiled roofs of Siem Reap's heritage market area. Their Linga Spa for men is conveniently located just below on 2/F and fine dining is available in the Aha restaurant on G/F. Conde Nast Traveler Hot Hotel 2008. For the ultimate in luxury, ask about The One Hotel, which has -- you guessed it -- only one luxe duplex. Utopia Member Discount

        Comments from Utopians:

"My bf and I had a terrific holiday at Hotel Be. We stayed in the Sepia room. Couldn't have asked for a better room. Totally sexy groovy. My bf was amazed. Was a great place to hang out and the staff were wonderful. The massage staff ... what can I say ... all sexy guys with hands from god. Martin (the owner) was so nice we think of him as a friend now. Linga right across the street and Aha downstairs couldn't be more convenient. The hotel also arranged a great guide for us, who was very well informed and also entertaining. This place rates as one of our best holidays! Love ya, Jeff and Yusuke." -- tokyojeff, Mar 7, 2010

"I stayed at Hotel Be Angkor and highly recommend it. Their Bamboo Room is on 3/F with private rooftop. Hotel Be Angkor shares staff with Seam Reap's only gay bar, literally across the door. Great staff, excellent amenities and bar scene is as best as Cambodia can get (from what I hear). I had fun and an amazing stay at Hotel Be Angkor." -- newcankor, Jan 29, 2010

        Comments from Utopians:

"This was my 3rd time staying at Ei8ht Rooms guesthouse and, like always, I'm treated more like an old friend than just another tourist. Even with all the newer and more expensive gay-friendly hotels opening up in Siem Reap, Ei8ht Rooms is still very well managed and maintained." -- moonman, Jun 1, 2010

"I stayed at Ei8ht Rooms for 5 nights last Jan. The location is very good, just 5 minutes from the Old Market and Pub St. The room is not luxurious, but the beds are big and soft and the surroundings really clean. The staff is not only cute but, more importantly, very, very friendly and helpful." -- Brawn, Jan 29, 2010

        Comments from Utopians:

"MEN's, the place to be! Probably the best small hotel in Siem Reap. We stayed there for 10 days and enjoyed it a lot. The architecture is very modern and stylish, rooms are very spacious and well equipped. The location is quiet and only 5 minutes by tuk-tuk (always in front of the hotel) to the Old Market. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel offers sauna and gym as well, all included in the room rate." -- Stef770, Aug 11, 2010

"A little bit of heaven here on earth. After walking the temples all day it is so nice to come back to the peace and quiet of MEN's and unwind in the pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make your stay as great as it can be. Always a sweet smile and friendly greeting. Of course the rooms are super clean and modern with free WiFi." -- LarryB, Jul 6, 2010

"I recently traveled to Siem Reap, Cambodia with my partner, and we stayed at the MEN's, a beautiful spa/hotel close to the center of town. The staff were friendly, attentive, and professional, and they took care of every need. The two owners were warm and welcoming, and whenever we had a question about Siem Reap, touring the temples, restaurants, or even Cambodian history, they were always available to help. The rooms are immaculate and beautifully appointed, with a spacious walk-in rainfall shower. The air-conditioning was strong (important during summer) and we always felt comfortable. There is also a restaurant bar in the hotel, and the food is excellent, with entrees around US$5-6. What made our stay even more incredible is how inexpensive the entire vacation was. I would expect to pay 5-6 times as much for the room and services in the United States." -- speedracerny, Jul 3, 2010

"No kids, no families...a Men ONLY resort. We HIGHLY recommend it. We stayed two nights at another hotel before coming to MEN'S for a massage. We asked to have a look at one of the deluxe rooms... after comparing it to what we were staying in, we checked in at MEN'S. The rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. We both liked the colored theme given to each deluxe room. The staff were wonderful, friendly and extremely helpful. The service was WELL above what we expected. The salt water pool was so wonderful to come back to after spending time at the temples... it was a god-send! Massages were excellent, and food was great and reasonably priced. The spa and sauna were great addition and a great place to meet locals and other travelers. Clean, discreet and FUN! Our thanks go to ALL the MEN'S staff for making our first visit to Siem Reap wonderful, memorable and thoroughly enjoyable." -- JDAC, Jun 2, 2010

"We had wonderful time at MEN'S resort and spa. Very cute and friendly staff. Beautiful and well designed rooms are clean, and comfortable. The swimming pool is just perfect for hot weather in Siem Riep and was always clean. It is located in quiet area, and not far from Old Market. Also, there are tuk-tuks in front (very nice, friendly drivers). We would love to come back and stay again. One word to describe our experience at MEN's: LOVELY." -- aznguyinsact, May 16, 2010

"I tried the new MEN's resort and spa and can recommend it. If you like sunbathing at a fantastic pool, chatting with friendly staff and international guests, and relaxing in a sauna, this would be the right place for you. Good job on the architecture!" -- jeanv, Mar 30, 2010
